Weigh-In Wednesday & Snack Snackity!


Hi friends!

Well it’s Weigh-in Wednesday

And my current weight is…..

244

So no change from last week…

But…I’m not discouraged because earlier this week I weighed in at 243.

So I am still 12 pounds down which is great!

Aaron and I are getting back into a routine of me cooking and us working out so I’m really excited to see what the scale says next week!

I wanted to share with you some of the things that have helped me change my lifestyle. There are too many to include here, but I wanted to share some that have made the most difference for me.

I would like to introduce you to my snack time!

I am a big believer in having a mid-day treat, so this scrumptious arrangement of foods is my go-to snack!

First off is the Almond Nut-thins! My sweet husband actually first found these in our Kroger (I was unsure about them because I am a loyal fan of Triscuits and Wheat Thins).  But I must say…I love these yummy little crackers! And the best part is 16 crackers are only 130 calories! And that is pretty good! I usually have about half of the serving size so I can really enjoy the Laughing Cow cheese (only 35 calories per wedge!). 
After this, I finish it up with a delicious Fiji apple!

That snack time total is 235 calories!!

Next, I would like to introduce you to our tea collection!

This collection is enjoyed numerous times a day by Aaron and me both! My favorite tea right now is the Moroccan Mint Tea made by Stash! 

Drinking hot tea after Aaron and I workout is the best! I know it seems crazy because usually all people want is a giant cup of cold water after a workout. But, hot tea is just so relaxing and soothing!  (Stay tuned for an educational post about the health benefits of drinking hot tea!)

Speaking of things we like to drink…this little bottle is a small reward at the end of the day every now and then!

IZZE!!!!

This bottle is 120 calories and worth every bit of it if you ask me!

Some other little things that keep me in check during the week are these little goodies!

While we were in Kroger, Aaron and I were looking for an alternative to poptarts for breakfast! We found these and fell in love! They are very similar to poptarts but much yummier and way way healthier. You get 2 in a package and they are 100 calories per package. They are perfect in the morning when Aaron drives to work and when I just want something small for breakfast! (I even enjoy them sometimes for a mid day snack)

Then we have the Slim-Rite shakes! These are just the off brand of Slim Fast shakes but they are cheaper, and in my opinion, they taste better! These are great for lunch! I got this idea from Aaron who has been drinking a shake and eating an apple for lunch every day for the last year! Then he has a snack in the middle of the day! I thought this was a great idea and so I opted to do it…of course not every lunch, but every now and then! I know this sounds crazy but when I crave chocolate this is what I go to. It’s filling and gives me that chocolate satisfaction without eating a whole bar of chocolate! These are only 170 calories, which is good in my book!!

The Nature Valley Granola Thins with peanut butter is another great snack! These bad boys are only 90 calories for a square and the rich peanut butter makes them more than perfect for a mid-day snack! (this is what Aaron has for his mid-day snack at work)

Well, I hope that this encourages you to find great things to snack on!!
