My Favorite Foods ....Reveled!

Hello all!!

I am so sorry that I have not been posting lately!

I have decided to start reupholstering a wing-back chair that my sweet sister gave to me!

It is really hard work but I am already really enjoying it!

Here is a little sneak peak of the fabric I chose.

As fun as this is, I feel that I have neglected my blog friends!

So here is the post that I have wanted to give to you for a couple of weeks!

These are some of my favorite foods…revealed. Before I started this journey, I ate pretty much whatever I wanted and never thought to look at the calorie count.

That was a mistake, to say the least. Now I understand why I was gaining so much weight!

So here we go!

1 serving Olive Garden salad = 350 Calories!
Now this came as a huge shock to me...seeing as how I usually eat about 3 bowls of it!

Olive Garden Baked Pasta Ramona w/ Chicken = 1040
Now this has tempted me several times and it tempts me even looking at the picture! (minus the wine:)

1 Texas Roadhouse Roll = 226 Calories!
Now I did know that these were bad, but after thinking about how many baskets I consume…it starts to add up very quickly!

Applebee’s Crispy Orange Chicken bowl = 1900 calories!
OH MY GOSH! This was just heart-breaking to me! That’s 300 calories over my daily calorie limit!

Pei-Wei Honey Seared chicken w/ Fried rice = 1860 Calories!
Since being married to a man who cannot stand the smell of pei-wei, I have not had this in a long time!!! But I do still crave it!

California Pizza Kitchen Margherita Pizza = 1105 Calories!
I figure that I can still enjoy this one occasionally, but I definitely won’t eat the whole thing like I used to do.

Chili’s Bacon Ranch Chicken Quesadillas = 1480 Calories!
I must say that Quesadillas are one of the foods that I really miss!

IHOP Bacon Temptations Omelet =980 Calories!
Now this does not include the giant side of hash browns (320 calories)

Cold Stone Cake Batter Gotta Have it =830 Calories!
This WAS my favorite dessert to get until I looked at just the ice cream portion….this also does not include the brownie and chocolate fudge and sprinkles that were added to it.

Well.

I must say that after figuring out all of these calories it makes me proud to know that I can turn these down and pick healthier things at these restaurants.

It is still so difficult to say no to these foods. Sometimes I still order them and then feel terrible afterwards.

But I’m learning and I have come a very long way from where I used to be.

And I look forward to continuing my journey and finding foods that are better for me!

Thanks for listening!

I hope this might encourage you to look at the foods you eat to see how many calories you consume!

One more thing!

Tomorrow is my Brother and I’s 26th birthday!

It will be difficult not to splurge all day on my favorite foods!

So I am going to try and keep busy with my upholstering!

I hope you are having a great Monday!
