Where I have been Lately...

Hey friends.

Well it’s been a pretty crazy week for me.

And it’s Weigh-in Wednesday

And my current weight is…..

I don’t know.

And here is why.

Recently I had to go to a foot doctor to get a very painful ingrown toenail taken care of-if was actually ingrown on both sides.  I will spare you all the gory details about the procedure but I will say that it was not pretty.

After all the numbing wore off….it is painful….really painful to walk and I can’t put any weight on my left foot so I limp everywhere.

My doctor  told me that I was to wear open-toe shoes for a couple of days while I still have all the bandages on it…so sadly I have not been able to work out.

When I had the procedure done I told the doctor that I worked out 5 times a week and that I needed to still work out after the procedure.  He told me that for the first 2 days I couldn’t work out,  but after that it would depend on how my foot felt in regular shoes.

Well today is 10 days after the procedure…and my toe still hurts…badly..

Now, I know you are wondering why I can’t weigh in….

Well, my husband has the fancy digital scale that can tell if you are not distributing your weight evenly…and I can’t do that with my gimp foot. So it keeps giving me a misreading and/or telling me to move to the left.  I tried 4 different times today and never got a reading.

I will say that the later part of this last week has not been the best for me. I have not been active. I have been on the couch taking pain meds and elevating my foot…because it feels better that way. So I have not been cleaning, getting the mail, taking out the trash, working on the chair, etc. So basically I have been a slug on the couch for the last 10 days.

My doctor told me that today I can take the dressing off my toe and clean it and put a new one on. So I’m hoping that here in a day or two I can get my foot into my shoe and I can get back to working out!

I thought about posting a picture of my toe without the bandage….but that would be gross and I don’t want to scare you all off….so here is a photo of the bandage I have to wear on my foot.

Stylish…I know.
